Providing widespread access to research data between scientists, reporters and the general public by utilitizing the robust display and data layering functionality of Google Earth should be a prime objective of all global or local research projects. The ability to display data on various subjects overlaying datasets from various sampling periods or combining data between varying research efforts will dramatically improve the availability and usability of this information to a wider audience as well as providing the potential discovery of new finding through arbitrary combinations of datasets.
